Driving in the car yesterday we had a funny conversation with our daughter. It went something like this...
Dylan: What is that? (pointing to the US Flag in front of our neighbor's house)
Mom & Dad: That's a flag.
D: Why
M&D: Because it is President's Day. We put out flags in honor of our presidents. Do you know what a president is?
D: No
M&D: He is the person who runs the country. George Washington was our very first president. Did you know that?
D: No! Jesus was our first president!
Amen?

Yesterday we saw Uncle Sam waving a flag on the street and we told the girls who it was. Gabriella said, "that doesn't look like Uncle Sam."
Joe has a brother Sam...and he doesn't wear tall patriotic hats and red and white stripped pants.
